Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the KeepVahan Android app and the pages at keepvahan.web.app. Please read them, especially section 08 about what the app does and does not guarantee.

01 Agreement

KeepVahan is published by Svyram ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing or using KeepVahan, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These terms are between you and Svyram. Google is not a party to them — see section 12.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to enter into a contract, to use KeepVahan. By using it you confirm both.

03 Your account

You can use most of KeepVahan without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, you are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure — anyone who can sign in as you can see your vehicle and document records.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for keeping your device secure. Tell us promptly at venkypaithireddy@gmail.com if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.

04 Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use KeepVahan on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not:

  • copy, modify, translate or create derivative works from the app, except as allowed by law;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
  • rent, lease, sublicense, resell or redistribute the app or access to it;
  • remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or attribution notice.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use KeepVahan for anything unlawful, or to store or share material you have no right to hold;
  • upload a certificate you are not authorised to possess, or another person's identity documents without their permission;
  • attempt to access another user's records, probe or breach our security, or interfere with the service;
  • use automated tools to scrape, overload or abuse the service;
  • upload malicious code, or content that infringes anyone's rights.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, or if we are required to by law.

06 Your content

Your vehicles, documents, expiry dates and attached files remain yours. We claim no ownership over them.

To run the service we need permission to store, copy and transmit your content — for example, to keep it in our database and to show it back to you on your device. You grant us that limited permission, solely for the purpose of operating KeepVahan for you, for as long as you use the app. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to reasonable backup cycles.

You confirm that you have the right to upload everything you upload, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights.

07 Not an official record

KeepVahan is a personal organiser, not a government service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any Regional Transport Office, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, or any other authority. It does not issue, renew, validate or verify any certificate, and it cannot tell you whether a document is genuine. The only record that matters legally is the original issued by the competent authority.

08 Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee

You remain responsible for renewing your own documents on time.

Reminders are scheduled on your device and depend on things outside our control, including: your device being switched on and charged, the app not being force-stopped, battery-optimisation settings, notification permissions remaining granted, the correct expiry date having been entered, and the device clock being accurate. Notifications may be delayed, suppressed by the operating system, or never shown.

We do not guarantee that you will receive any reminder, or receive it before a deadline. You should not rely on KeepVahan as your only method of tracking a legal deadline. We are not liable for any fine, penalty, seizure, impoundment, suspension or other loss arising because a reminder was missed, delayed or not delivered.

09 Subscriptions and billing

KeepVahan's core features are free. An optional Ad-Free subscription removes advertising from the app.

  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play through your Google account.
  • Available plans, prices and currencies are shown in the app at the point of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Google account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
  • Cancelling the subscription does not delete your data. Your records remain, with ads shown again.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under Google's refund policy. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact Google Play first, and then us if you need help.

If a payment fails or is reversed, the Ad-Free entitlement may be withdrawn. We may change subscription pricing or features, but a change will not affect a period you have already paid for.

10 Advertising

The free plan displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements, or for any goods or services you buy from an advertiser. See the privacy policy for how advertising affects your data.

11 Availability and changes

  • Features that work offline depend on data already cached on your device.
  • Sign-in and cross-device sync require a working internet connection and depend on third-party providers.
  • We may add, change or remove features, and may release updates you need to install to keep using the app.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.
  • If we discontinue KeepVahan entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export or delete your data.

12 Third-party services

KeepVahan relies on services provided by others, including:

  • Google Play — app distribution and subscription billing;
  • Google Sign-In — optional account authentication;
  • Google AdMob — advertising on the free plan;
  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.

Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The app is distributed through Google Play, and Google's terms for Play-distributed apps apply to your download and use of the app.

13 Intellectual property

The KeepVahan name, logo, interface, design and source code are owned by Svyram and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a licence to use the app — they do not transfer any ownership to you.

14 Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KeepVahan is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any data will not be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of any document that matters to you.

15 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Svyram will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of KeepVahan.

This expressly includes any fine, penalty, tax, insurance consequence, seizure, impoundment or other loss resulting from a document expiring, from a reminder not being received, or from relying on information shown in the app.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) ₹1,000.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16 Termination

You may stop using KeepVahan at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from the delete account page, or by uninstalling the app.

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 06 and 13 to 18 survive termination.

17 Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of KeepVahan.

Before starting formal proceedings, please write to venkypaithireddy@gmail.com — most issues can be sorted out quickly that way.

18 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will make them visible in the app. Continuing to use KeepVahan after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and delete your account.
